‘Quotidian Overload: Revised and on Repeat’, is a 2D stop-motion animation depicting everyday actions in a a non-linear narrative.
The oversaturated colours, jarring sounds and point-of-view illustrations insidiously build tension, while creating a sense of panic in the viewer. The intention is to mimic the sensations that someone with Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) might experience when going about their everyday life. ‘GAD Break’ is a series of six large-scale paintings that represent a reprieve from this overwhelming narrative and presents how the artist grounds themselves during times of anxiety. Together, these works create a dialogue that aims to develop a greater understanding of the experiences of GAD and other anxiety disorders in everyday life.
